My buddy Shawn Duffy recently kicked everyone into gear on a new project called “The 365@50 Project”.  The goal of a typical 365 is to take 1 photo (or more) each day for 365 straight days.  It can be tough to do, unless you just stick the camera out the window each day and snap it. The kicker on this one is to use a 50mm prime lens for all of the photos, which puts some limits on you... 

Yesterday I went to shoot at a pumpkin patch in Delaplane, Virginia, with friends Kim Baker and Dawn Casey.  The sky wasn’t that great as it was raining most of the morning, and it was crazy windy, but we stayed about an hour and a half and got some decent shots.  A bit of tweaking in Lightroom made the sky pop so it added to the image rather than detracted from it.  Overall I’m happy... 

A week or so ago I bought the Best Camera iPhone app [$2.99, iTunes link] that Chase Jarvis has released, and I’ve been having quite a bit of fun with it.  Trying to find things here and there to photograph, apply the filters, and share them.  The software makes it super easy to do everything — you can stack filters, save to your iPhone camera roll, share to Twitter and Facebook, and...
