Manassas, Virginia

I’ve lived in Manassas for about a year and a half now and have come to really appreciate the history of this location.  From the Battlefield (there are a couple other shots of the Battlefield in this post) to the downtown area, there are a lot of photographic opportunities.  Right now I’m staking out locations for portraits — if you have any suggestions or would like some portraits done, feel free to e-mail me at robert@rekphoto.com

Below are some of my favorites from the area.  The first is of the train station/visitors center in Old Town Manassas.  The other two are from the Battlefield location off of Route 29.  They’re available for purchase as prints in the gallery.  Enjoy!

P.S.  I have created a new splash page for my website, blog, etc.  If you have a link to me on your website and have it going to blog.rekphoto.com, please change it to www.rekphoto.com — thank you!

Great shots! Especially like the perspective on the train station image, and the color and dramatic perspective on the cannon shot.

Thanks, Victoria. There’s a lot of fun stuff around there, I really need to spend more time exploring :-)

These are wonderful. I need to explore Manassas. I spend too much time in DC and forget about all the great stuff VA has to offer. The second shot is my favorite.
