Yesterday’s meeting for Help-Portrait went well.  We had a decent turn out of about 10 or so people and we all shared ideas on possible locations, how to get donations, etc.  Now the process begins on nailing down the locations and getting supplies, volunteers, donations, etc. — there are only 4 weeks until the 12th of December which is when we need to pull it all together and make it... 

A week or so ago I bought the Best Camera iPhone app [$2.99, iTunes link] that Chase Jarvis has released, and I’ve been having quite a bit of fun with it.  Trying to find things here and there to photograph, apply the filters, and share them.  The software makes it super easy to do everything — you can stack filters, save to your iPhone camera roll, share to Twitter and Facebook, and... 

I’ve been spending some time learning Adobe Lightroom 2 when I realized Capture NX2 leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to cataloging images.  I have a fairly adequate folder structure, but if I have similar folders, it’s difficult to know which one a certain image is in.  An example of that is some of my flower photos that I’ve taken around Vienna.
