When we were there last, I took a picture of the place setting with my iPhone 4. We got a glass of champagne and the menu was there too so it seemed perfect.

The image was edited in Snapseed right on my phone to give it a whole different feel. Even though I can’t or don’t take my camera everywhere I at least always have my phone!

My sister and I headed to the US National Arboretum in Northeast DC. Since I’ve been busy with my new son (and busy napping!), I haven’t had as much photo time as I’d like. Yesterday I went to a nearby park in Vienna, VA and took some shots there, then went to the main drag for a bit.  When I got home, I processed them all in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2which makes it super easy to convert everything to B&W since you can get one the way you want it (contrast, etc.) and copy those settings. All were shot with a Nikon D300sand Nikon 18-105VR lens.Had a circular polarizeron as well which did a nice job on the blacktop and skies to make them a bit richer.
